Eww - I won't

I'll pass, too, thanks.
I don't think that scripture and Tradition need Gibson's help.
I don't think I do, either.

I'm with you mostly. I've just had a couple of trustworthy friends recommend The Passion, and I loved Braveheart and Gibson's new one Apocalypto, so I guess the critic not the Christian in me wants to see it. I don't trust Mel Gibson as a person, but I think he has good cinematic instincts (maybe precisely because he is kind of unhinged).

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I liked Braveheart, too, tho I could do without all the blood and gore. I've heard the same thing about Apocalypto - great movie, but over the top as far as the bloody stuff goes. I wonder if he's got some sort of a creepy thing going on with that.

For cinema, Gibson's fine, I suppose.
I'm OK with leaving it at that.

Oh, and one other thing - I question a comment from your link: "It was simply the Tradition, thoughtfully and prayerfully presented."

Question: Is it?

Let me know after you've seen it.

I just saw it C. Too big a question for me. I will work on a post on it and see what comes out.
