Booze and Books!

Out of bars they barrell with a cough and a laugh.
Lizards in ballcaps.
Grins, backslaps, belt buckles, and a draft:
What more do they need than that?

Shuffle, shuffle, cough: the library.
The pages, the eyeglasses, the stares,
To the letter, to the point, to the contrary:
The words wordlessly hang in the air.

All in all, it is pretty scary
To be a drunk at the library.

Do you write most of these yourself?
